Travis Bennett was born and raised in Nashua and still calls Nashua home. He studied Political Science at Plymouth State University, where he also ran for and was elected as the youngest State Representative in 2014, serving an additional term in 2016. Travis then worked in politics for some time, as well as with the NH State Employees Association, before returning to law school at UNH Law in Concord, NH.

Travis is currently working as a public defender and is concerned about the lack of mental health resources in New Hampshire, shifting the perception of drug use to one that is best addressed through medical intervention, and homelessness — all issues that lead to increased crime and divert State resources away from focusing on more dangerous cases. Travis is also an avid outdoor enthusiast and has volunteered with the Appalachian Mountain Club but is often torn between going to the mountains or the seacoast when the weather is nice.
